Worthy Of Its Title: Diaper Champ

June 26th, 2006 | Category: General

Diaper Champ This bad boy is great. Compared to the Diaper Genie, the Diaper Champ does not require you to purchase expensive refills. You can use just about any type of plastic bag with the DC. Its simple to use, and keeps diaper odors away from your nose. I load it up with a regular kitchen trash bag with the yellow tie thingy so I can seal it off when I haul it to the trash bin. You can purchase one from Target.

Cuisinart DGB-500 Coffee Maker Review

December 30th, 2005 | Category: General, Tech

Cuisinart DGB-500 (black)
For Christmas, I got one of these bad boys to fulfill my caffeinated cravings. Needless to say, I’m impressed. Here’s some of the highlights:

  • built-in grinder
  • programmable timer
  • auto shutoff
  • built-in water filter
  • permanent coffee filter included

Also, all of the removable parts (grinder apparatus, coffee and water filter parts) are all dishwasher safe. The directions are clear and easy to follow to get things setup. If you like truely fresh coffee with minimal hassle, this unit is great. The only minor gripe that I have, is that the grinder makes a lot of noise, but it only runs for about 20 seconds.

On Cuisinart’s web site, it lists for $150, but I got mine from Bed Bath & Beyond for about $100. There’s also a stainless-steel model for $50 more.

Git yo java on!

Evidently, two heads are not better than one

February 20th, 2005 | Category: General

The details of this article about a baby with an second ‘head’ that was surgically removed is amazing. Craniopagus parasiticus is so rare, there have only been eight documented cases in the world.
